Gifted and Talented Days
Using next generation Lego NXT Robotics!

In partnership with Dorcan Technology College we offer schools the chance to participate in these challenging days aimed to stimulate and engage your most able pupils. Pupils will compete in teams, designing, building and programming a Lego NXT Robot to overcome a series of challenges guided by award winning Control Technology expert Ivan Kirk. Suitable for KS2 and KS3 pupils.
The robot challenge also requires the students to create a powerpoint presentation about the challenge, their robot and their teamwork. They must include audio and digital images as part of their presentation.
Certificates are awarded for the following categories:
- Winning Team
- Runners Up
- Best Team Presentation
- Teamwork Award
Option 1
Your school can choose to participate in one of the scheduled Gifted and Talented days, sending a minimum of 5 pupils (1 team) to meet and compete against other schools in a series of challenges!
Dates: Availability: June 14th, 17th, 28th 2010
Cost: £60 per team (5 pupils)
Option 2
Why not book your own day?
This can be any time of the year subject to arrangement. The Gifted and Talented Day will be designed specific to your requirements. Your school will have sole use of the next generation Lego NXT robotics with a great opportunity to promote teamwork, problem solving and presentation skills among your gifted and talented pupils.

Cost: £500 per day (Maximum 50 pupils)
